A recent network meeting focused on strengthening relationships, gathering member feedback, and exploring ways to make engagement more meaningful and sustainable. Participants were first invited to complete a survey conducted in partnership with the Carter Cetner to hekp assess the organization's strengths, opportunities for improvement, and future priorities.

The meeting also included an announcement about upcoming programming. While the group will take a break in June, members were encouraged to attend the July 17 session, which will feature several Florida Supervisors of Elections discussing election protection, ballot access, and voter confidence ahead of the primary elections.

A significant portion of the discussion centered on the value of bringing together people with differing viewpoints. Facilitators acknowledged that engaging in conversations across political and ideological differences can be challenging but emphasized that these conversations are essential for a healthy democracy and strong communities.

During breakout sessions, participants explored ways to create a more dynamic and connected network beyond policy discussions and election-related topics. A common theme emerged: members expressed interest in opportunities to connect on a personal level, build friendships, and learn about one another's lives outside of politics. Suggestions included informal gatherings, regional meetups, and social events that would allow participants to strengthen relationships and build trust before engaging in more difficult conversations.
